Too much money is spent in maintaining and repairing old buildings. Some people think that they should be knocked down and give way to the modern buildings.

写作思路

老建筑给新建筑让位是否同意，就要从老建筑的意义和新建筑的好处两方面入手进行分析比对然后得出结论。

对于老建筑，历史文化意义必须要说，还有对于旅游业和经济的促进也有一定作用。另外对于生活在城市里的人，不同时代不同风格的建筑（寺庙、祭坛等）也能缓解压力，舒缓心情，钢筋水泥无法比你。

对于新建筑，现代建筑有更多的优势——例如容纳更多的人并且安全性能高，实用性强，设施完善。人们现在用的还是新建筑居多；还需要考虑经济因素，如果确实给当地人们生活带来经济负担且没有保护的必要，那么就应该拆除，例如老旧小区，城中村等。
